Wombats are unusual animals that live in Australia. They look like fluffy toys, but they have fearfully strong rear ends. When a wombat is threatened in its burrow, it can use its rump to crush its adversary’s skull. How does a wombat deploy this secret weapon? NHK thoroughly investigated the wombats’ world, even sending a snake-like robot camera into a burrow to study their life underground and witness a wombat’s rear-end defense.
